SuperClubs Plus

This year students in grades 3/4 have been learning all about cyber safety through the exciting website SuperClubs Plus. This is a secure website operating mainly in the Commonwealth countries around the world. The Victorian Government has paid for the 1 year subscription for our Grade 3/4 students.

Students have had 1 session a week where they work through activities on the SCP website with Shona McCulloch and their classroom teachers learning to become cybersafe digital citizens. The site allows students to collect 5 star badges which increase in difficulty:

	White Star “Safety” all about being safe on line Red Star “Getting Started” creating a Home page Green Star “Communication” emailing and posting in forums Blue Star “Media” uploading images to the SuperClubs Plus library Yellow Star “Codes and Links”. which codes can be used to make web pages appealing

Students have also participated in activities which allow them to collect the 7 parts needed for the 2 Cyber Safety badges. There are many more exciting activities for the students to take part in on this secure site which is always supervised by a teacher somewhere in the world.
