2012 Walk for Technology

The wet conditions couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the Prep -2 students on Friday 22 June as they walked, hopped, waddled, slithered and bounced for technology. A circuit was set up inside the Multi-purpose Centre and the P-2 students completed an incredible 1789 laps to cover and incredible 223 kilometres in just 30 minutes. There were many rosy red cheeks by the end of the session.

The Grade 5-6 Walk for Technology was held on Tuesday 26 June and students completed over 680 laps of the circuit around the surrounding streets to walk just over 687 kilometres - the distance from Melbourne to Canberra! We are aiming to walk as far as Sydney next year.

We were walking to help bring iPads to LEPS. Our aim was the raise enough money to purchase at least 6 iPads for students to use in the classroom. So far we have raised $1900 which is enough to buy 5 iPads.
