The Cultural Diversity Committee is all about embracing the diversity of cultures that makes Lalor East Primary the special place that it is today. Lalor East is a mixing pot of languages and cultures and we celebrate a number of occasions that highlight our cultural diversity. Days such as Harmony Day, NAIDOC Day, Multicultural Day and our Spanish Fiesta are all special moments on the school calendar. During these days our school comes together as one to participate in  fun activities to promote learning and discussion of the different backgrounds present in our local community. The Cultural Diversity Committee also works with classroom teachers to promote learning and discussion of the culture and history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, the traditional owners of the land we now call home.
